JACK ADLER’S DISCOGRAPHY / Vinyl Editions.
Jack’s first solo album is titled You Were A Kindness, released December 13th, 2009. It’s Adler’s first solo project since his divorce from ex-wife and musical partner Marion Stewart. The album was highly anticipated and was met with instant acclaim upon release. It cites the heartbreak he’s endured over the course of his divorce and other troubles he faced along the way. It sets the tone for the future of Jack Adler’s career which consists of promising alternative rock and folk melodies paired with profound but unpretentious lyrics that both stun and touch a growing fandom.
Onto his second studio album, titled On The Corner Where You Live, released June 7th, 2013, is his first true success. It’s his most well-known album and a notable fan favorite. It earns him three Grammy awards including Album of The Year at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in 2014. The album also won various different awards alongside that. The album remains critically acclaimed, Jack’s best to date. It dives deeper into who he is as a person and displays a consistent theme around driving, cars, and moving fast.
Hard to Find, released October 4th, 2017, is probably Jack’s most melancholic work to date. By now, the press and fans alike are well aware of Jack’s prominent drug and alcohol problem and this album releases flush against that knowledge. It describes inner turmoil, love lost, death, and feeling out of place. It’s a deeply personal album, one that Jack is both proud and ashamed of. It’s his last album before heading to rehab in Catalina. Hard to Find also earned Grammy Award nominations, including Album of The Year, though doesn’t win any. Adler did not attend the ceremony. It’s also the very first album of his that includes himself on the cover in some capacity.

dragon age was jasper’s first feature film soundtrack, which he worked on some time after scoring inquisition. it was more or less a straight re-telling of the first game of the series and featured cody lemos in the lead role. the score itself was similar to the one he did for inquisition, though jasper got some of the actual cast to provide voice work for a few tracks. it was received mostly positively, though the two tracks he remixed to better suit the overall tone of the soundtrack were initially met with scepticism.

set in an alternate history based around the wild west with horror and minor steampunk influences, deadlands’ score remained close to that of a regular western. the show followed three different sets of characters, though he’s particularly proud of the work he did on kit’s theme and the music surrounding her story line. there’s a haunted, aching quality to just about every piece he wrote for her and he still gets a little bit of a shiver every time he listens to her theme.
brigantes is a historical drama that centres around a celtic tribe in the 1st century. the score was recorded with entirely traditional instruments and jasper enlisted the help of various european folk artists in order to create the perfect sound for the show. his theme for the show earned him his first emmy but that doesn’t mean he’s content to stay on par with his previous work. he’s still trying to do better and better as the seasons progress, and it shows.
jasper was initially only interested in inquisition because he was told they wanted a different sound to the previous games and he liked the idea of the challenge. he weaved a fair amount of the old into his score and, all in all, produced something to be proud of. he worked closely with alice on this soundtrack, which is probably why he’s got such a soft spot for it.
