Germany is huge country made of 16 Regions. I have been there to lot of places . You know that from this article. My last article was about the french countryside and let me let you now something about the German one.
Albungen is tiny village hidden in the hills and woods of Thürbingen region. Most people which are living here, were growing up here and they became farmers. Albungen is one hour away from city Kassel and one hour away from highway 4. We went here because of my fathers friends, they have here little house were we could stay for few days for few times.
I absollutely love it there. The house used to be a sty but they made a wonderfull weekend home fortheirself. It is on a end of the village just next to big field with a view into the hills with river Werra flooting around. There is one privat castle up on of the hills. The nature there is gorgeous, especially in autumm when the colours are everywhere...
We went there for a week in summer with Rhea and we made lot of trips on bikes around. One time it was to a old mine museum, another time to the city Eschwege the only biggest city around where we could normally shop. The most trips were to Bad Sooden - Allendorf lovely small city with a spa. .
Albugen used to be just next to border wit NDR and we went to the border museum which shows how it worked and how awful the borders were. We can be all glad that it is gone, because the people in NDR and in my country didn´t have easy life.
On this countryside is living peace which you wouldn´t find anywhere else. The peole are nice, everything seems slower and lovely. But I don ´t know if I would normally live there. It´s great for holiday and I hope I will come soon back.
