I'm currently at the beginning of the Whipper Kingdom War arc and it's so fucking funny.
Like I was swooning when Cale told Choi Han (who supposedly couldn't fight because his aura made him too recognizable) to help heal people instead of killing them. That he could save people both ways, that he's capable of more than violence, and I thought that was very sweet

I get why people ship them. Cale being the judge and jury to Choi Han's executioner. Choi Han looking for Cale like he's the Roman emperor whose thumb alone decides life and death. Trust and love and - ugh. Just - knight and liege.
BUT THEN I GET TO THIS SCENE
Alberu laughing his ass off while listening to Cale's battle report, while a literal fire burns in the background, is already good enough. But then-
These two losers are BANTERING while their enemy is literally in the room, bound and gagged. Duke Huten is getting front row seats to the two worst people in the Roan Kingdom joking and kinda flirting, basically dancing in the ashes of his Empire.
He deserves everything that happens to him, but being witness to the two most fan- popular love interests for Cale having their own moments with him is a little too much. Right in front of his salad.
