"rosier!" alecto sang, sitting down next to dorcas, while she kicked her feet up in his lap. "how does my hair look?" she asked, flipping her hair in his face. "do you like it?"
alecto was known to have had a crush on evan in the past, and he was known to have not been interested in the slightest. dorcas found it terribly amusing, knowing both sides of the story, but especially having alecto whine about her unreciprocated feelings.
"dandy," evan said, stifling his laugh and letting out an ugly snort, running his hand up and down dorcas' leg.
"just splendid, as always, dear alecto," regulus mused, his words muttered, flipping to the next page of his copy of the daily prophet.
"you didn't even look!" she whined dramatically, pressing her back against dorcas. "how would you know, regulus, if you didn't even look up from that stupid prophet? there's nothing interesting there!"
regulus briefly glanced up to her; she blew him a raspberry. "like i said, splendid."
"totally uninterested, aren't they?" dorcas cooed, reassuringly putting a hand on alecto' arm. "men these days." she joked, and alecto frantically nodded, a wide grin plastered on her face.
