Tuesday is our girls group day. They come in like a breath of fresh air compared to the other boys group days 😜 They are such beauties, inside and out. These Sawyer Water Filters are making the journey from Jbay to Buluwayo, Zimbabwe. We got word from an orphanage about the water crises that they are experiencing. This crises arises from the renewed economic crises. Hyperinflation is rearing its ugly head again. Inflation currently stands around 175%. Govenrment can’t provide enough water. There is a looming food crises and the police crackdown on public protests is of great concern. We are thankful we get to partner up with various organizations to help bring meaningful impact to people, no matter who or where they are from. We felt like we received the gift to visit a ‘visaually impaired’ school today. We took water filters to the school in Beira that takes care of the blind and visually impaired youth. It was both humbling and absolutely inspiring. These were some of the sweetest most genuine human beings we have ever met. To see these youth have such a strong bond with each other was something you don’t come across every day. To see how important the sense of touch is, the sense of sound... So often we take all we have for granted. The training and filters we gave to the faculty members and teachers were assembled by some members that were blind themself. This group was fully engaged and so invested in it.
