i realized i should probably put some of this stuff under a spoiler warning just in case
anyways in stars and time stuff below
anyways i continued playing isat today and got to the king for the first time and i have some more thoughts
he beat my ass but its fine cause its a scripted loss
i guess it turns out that when you get to that point it kicks you all the way back to the start which makes sense cause its like "oh you got to the end you know what to look for now"
on another topic i thinkkkkk im getting what the message of the game is or part of it at least that i was already thinking about a bit near the start with this whole religion based on change and changing yourself
so i think what its trying to say is that you arent just going to stay the same person forever, you are going to have to change and you are going to have to accept the changes going on around you which i kinda like
although this stuff about it being pretty normal to get rid of things that remind you of your old self is a bit...suspicious? to me? i feel like part of it might be striking a balance
the king wants everything to stay the exact same forever and ever because its good RIGHT NOW and he doesnt need to wait and see it inevitably get worse (thats what i think at least) and the change belief or at least this part of it is pushing change a lot which is good in a lot of ways but it can also cause you to lose parts of yourself in the process which it appears is what the goal is? when in reality every version of you that you used to be makes up who you are now and ditching that can cause you to ditch things that fundamentally make up yourself
idk im just rambling this belief might just be presented as totally flawless and it would probably be executed great or maybe it has and i missed it cause im kinda stupid
but anyways striking a balance about knowing that you can change and should be changing and evolving over time, but making sure to not lose yourself in the process????
I also think siffrin and the king are good foils to each other and im really not good at analysis stuff as you can see im just trying my best here but they both have a sort of version of time craft so siffrin has the loops and the king has the time freezy things and the loops allow siffrin to essentially change fate and make changes that might not even be possible without that power but the kings freezy stuff like i already said before (probably repeating myself a bunch all over its like 2:30 am i cant stop playing this i needed to write down my thoughts) freezes people and objects and everything in time permanently preventing them from ever changing
its like 2 extremes sorta?
anyways thats pretty much it the fish guy is suspicious i think he is trying to trick me or something also the king asked if siffrin "remembered" or something which i assume is going to get explained later so im not gonna think tooooo hard about that right now but yeah THOSE ARE MY THOUGHTS! DO YOU LIKE THEM! I MIGHT BE WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT IS VERY LIKELY BUT I KNOW ITS GOTTA BE ABOUT CHANGE IN SOME WAY
