Santa Claus Early Warning Alert System
When he’s in the vicinity it repeatedly blasts “Here comes Santa Claus”, just those words, on a loop.
And the closer he gets.
The louder it becomes!

The Presidential Alert Wireless Test have been moved to Oct 3rd.
Because of the recent hurricane that hit North Carolina, FEMA delayed the wireless emergency alert test to October 3rd:

Unlike other alerts, this is one you can’t opt out.
Just a few reminders:
1) This is NOT a request done by the current administration. It happened during the Bush Administration. They just never tested it for one reason or another.
2) For those who wondered if this will be used by the President as an alternative to Twitter, rest assured: it’s illegal for Trump to use the system as such a thing. It’s a law in the books, for what it’s worth: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/senate-bill/1180/text
At least one can hope he doesn’t abuse it.
3) It’s a broadcast, using an alert on your cell phone’s OS and to the wireless service provider in the US. Therefore, it can’t be used to send individual messages looking official.
