He liked to help around the Alex’s bar and restaurant when he had the time, coming in early when he could and staying late if he wasn’t too tired. He got off work early today and decided he’d stop by to see how his friend was faring, which led to him staying until closing time, refilling the napkins in the holder with deft fingers, making sure each one had the exact same amount as the others, though he soon found that his eyes were straining and it was getting more difficult to concentrate. A yawn escaped his lips, paired with a stretch of his hands, before pushing away the current holder in his hands. “Can we go home now?” he asked. (@alex-matthews)

Matthews Lunch Time

While the day was young and the sun was out, Chase would take all the advantage he could get to be out in the sun. He didn’t care if he would burn easily due to his ginger genes but he was more excited to get out for some fresh air. Find himself another good book and invest some time in that. However when he heard his phone go off, he quickly read and responded to his brother, Alex. Who had wanted to meet up for some lunch. Things in the family were getting serious at the moment, business talks, company, all of that. Chase wanted to tune it out most of the time but he couldn’t since Alex was soon stepping up for their father. It baffled the younger brother greatly that Alex was going to go through with it, but maybe if he heard Alex out on this situation? Agreeing to meet for lunch, they picked a spot and met. 

They talked from time to time, but lately Chase had been busy with his work and with his sexually pent up boss. So he was dealing with that rather than his family anyways. Still though he needed to catch up with what was happening with Alex and where his head was. Once they were seated and given menus and the usual drinks of choice, Chase  looked back to his older brother. “So should I go Dr. Phil on you and ask how do you really feel about all of this Alex?” @alex-matthews

Announcement Downfall | 4-12-17 | Alex & Chase

What was suppose to be a grand day turned into everything on Alex. The whole family hyped on excitement and fake smiles. Chase could sense the amount of fake people around him, even before the event started. Before anything started. His brothers were no help what so ever. This was Alex’s big day of taking over the company and also Chase committing himself to a company he preferred never to be a part of. But because it was Alex, because he loved and found himself closer to Alex than anyone else, Chase was going to help and be there for him. He wasn’t about to back down on his brother and watch him drown with sharks waiting for him to fail. 

Those sharks being their parents, and Collins. Whatever they wanted, Chase could see in their eyes. But he wasn’t about to confront them during this big night. This was about Alex and he was going to be there for him. Even if the suit he had on wasn’t what he wanted to wear. The designer was going to have a mouth full about this later but for now. Chase watched and cheered for his brother. Happy and watching carefully. Alex had his ups and downs and Chase has witnessed some of those downs before. He kept his eyes on the other Matthews. But to turn around for a matter of two minutes due to his parents chatting him up to someone else, Chase had lost that focus. 

Only to hear a crash, glass shattering and soon seeing Alex run off. Excusing himself he went to check and call on Alex. Soon hearing his father call on his name. Turning back he could see the disappointment, the look of righteousness on his face and that disgusted Chase. Shoving his way past and ignoring his father at this point, Chase’s only goal was to check on Alex. Soon following him back to his place after calling for a cab. 

When he made it to Alex’s place, Chase quickly found the spare key and unlocked the door. “Alex! What the hell was that? Are you okay?” Was Chase’s main concern. He didn’t care for the guests or the party that came after the announcement. This was his brother and screw his family for not being like Chase to check on Alex either. @alex-matthews
