“I just drank six tequilas while waiting for my blind date who, by the way, totally stood me up like an hour ago. I’m drunk and you - you should be my blind date.” he deduced, index finger and thumb forming a gun pointing at the direction of the other, seated right on the bar stool to his side. “I totally proposed sneaking into someone’s swimming pool - I mean, that’s adventurous and awesome but all they obviously wanted was the booty. We should totally do that together!” he rambled on and reached for another glass. “The crazy adventurous thing, obviously. Or the booty. I’ve officially outgrown my pickiness - I’ll do anything!”

“As much as I’m tempted about the adventure I’m seeing someone. But we can still have fun.” Chase laughed lightly as he took his drink and sipped it gingerly. “Mm, tell you what. How about we get even more drunk and go bar hopping. This place is pretty dim and by now you drank the whole bar” Chase joked.

Freedom was not a feeling Jax took for granted anymore. He’d been allowed outside in prison for outdoor rec or whatever bullshit they had called it. But even out of his cell he was a prisoner. Wandering about was definitely out of the question. After his release he took to walking around Lanford in his time off. He never had a set destination in mind. In his opinion that would defeat the purpose of his wandering. He was walking down the street, his hands shoved down into his pockets when he checked someone with his shoulder. Turning around, Jax glared at the offender. “Excuse you.”

Chase was on his way to his apartment as he was checking the emails on his phone. One attachment about Collins and the latest news that wanted to spread from it. As much as his mood was better these days, Collins always seemed to get under his skin. He wasn’t really looking where he was going but he normally never ran into anyone on his way home. That was until someone checked him. Looking up from his phone as he brushed his designed blazer he looked at the man. “Excuse you too.. “

Hold Onto Me {Andrew&Chase}

Chase wanted tonight to be a great night, one to remember for him and Andrew. After reuniting from the two week silence, Chase wanted to see how this would work. He was already happy that him and Andrew were talking again but there was something more that came out of it. The spark that ignited in him. It sucked that it took him finding out from Andrew’s journal and a mental war path in his mind but now him and Andrew could see how they work romantically. They were already best friends and if this was like any romance novel, it was as if Chase finally released his soulmate. 

But it would take him to discover that chapter sooner or later. For now, he wanted to treat Andrew right and start their dating with a perfect dinner reserved at one of Chase’s favorite restaurants. It wasn’t too expensive and it was just outside of Lanford so him and Andrew could enjoy the view in New York. After that he wanted to go to the top of the Mattews’ building where he had set a nice lounging section with the dessert waiting for them. He had told his driver to wait while he grabbed Andrew and as he knocked on the door, Chase was dressed to the nines. Waiting for Andrew to open the door with a single rose in his hand. 

Once opened, Chase’s eyes glanced up and down on the boy in front of him. “Hey there, you look so dapper.” He sighed to Andrew as he played with the flower in hand before handing it to Andrew. “For you, the car’s waiting for us” He pointed to the Mattew’s stretch that he got for tonight. @itsandrew-lupa

Andrew smiled at Chase’s words, feeling the excitement already start to bubble inside of him. It seemed to him that Chase really wanted it and if he did, then Andrew was ready to jump in as well. “I’d like that a lot.” He said, leaning in for another quick peck. “Where are you gonna take me?” He asked teasingly, letting his arms wind up around Chase’s neck and play with the short hairs at the nape.

Honestly, Andrew was starting to think it was a good thing Chase had found his journal. If he hadn’t, they’d probably never be in this situation. Andrew had been too afraid of the rejection all his life, he never thought of how great it could be to have his feelings be accepted by his best friend. Sure, it sucked the few weeks they weren’t speaking, but they got through it and they were, obviously stronger because of it.

The soft touching and quick peck to the lips had Chase smiling against Andrew’s lips. But even more, when Andrew was playing with his hair, Chase melted a little in Andrew’s soft touches. “You’ll have to find out but it’ll be amazing” Chase whispered softly so his breathe would hit Andrew’s lips as he placed another peck to the boy’s lips while his hand rested on his hip. All of this was way better than the weeks of not speaking to each other.The worry had disappeared and Chase felt happy all around and in the course of his veins. It was a new adventure and it excited him to no end. 

At this point he didn’t want to leave Andrew so he quickly pulled the boy to the couch so they could cuddle and watch television like they normally did. But this time, Chase was holding Andrew’s hand. His fingers playing with the other man’s as the affection was sinking in and all Chase wanted to do was see where this would take them and it felt it would end in a much happier place.

Andrew couldn’t help but smile against Chase’s lips. He felt relief that he had enjoyed the kiss as well and he allowed himself to sink into the second one. He’d dreamt of this moment for so long and he was still hardly believing it was real. 

He and Chase had been through so much together and they had a connection and understanding between each other that Andrew had never had with anyone else. There was no one else he’d trust so wholeheartedly to get drunk to where he could no longer read lips. And no one else had dropped everything as Chase did to learn sign language with him when he became deaf.

He hated to be the one to ask the question right now, but he was unsure where they stood at this point. “So what now?” He asked, pulling away slightly. It was in Chase’s hands at this point.

All of this time away from Andrew made Chase miss him even more. Chase had a lot of thinking to do on his own. How to be a better friend to Andrew, but really he already was the best friend. It was a matter of taking in Andrew’s emotions and feelings. He had to stop being self doubtful and focus on Andrew. When the question was asked, Chase gave a soft smile. “How about I take you on a date. We can start this as a new chapter and see where it goes?” He offered as he massaged the bottom of his lip. 

As long as they were on the same page, like they always were. Things could work out and the love would grow even more. They already had each other’s back throughout the hardship of the years, but now it was about exploring the deep love that was shown for each other.

“It’s not for a job, so he’s fine. I doubt there’s a way to screw up gloating about yourself.” She said as she searched through her phone for a photo of him. “Here, see? Hot.”

“That’s good, and there are ways. Sometimes it comes off as arrogant to others.” Chase looked over as she pulled up the photo. “Yea he is hot. Holy shit”

“Your guess is as good as mine,” came her reply, accompanied with a soft chuckle. “I’m hoping that she’s just mad at me and will be a good lady and fine with a stranger.” Lips curving with a smile, she added, “She’s definitely friendly. The meanest thing she might do to a stranger is ignore you, or maybe snort with disgust if you piss her off. I don’t see you doing that.”

“Oh, okay then. I’ll give it a shot” Chase stated before moving over to the dog, patting his leg with his hand to signal the dog to come over. Once the dog was over in his direction, he started petting her and giving her some love. “Aww, good girl. Come on, your mom is over there.” He cooed before looking to Zosia again with a smile this time.

“Hey.” Usually Kendra was much more accommodating with fry-stealers, but she was borderline starving, and this was a stranger. “Order your own,” she said with a glare that soon subsided into a smile, though she did protectively scoot her bowl back towards herself just in case. “I don’t want a shake. But for the record the peanut butter one they have here is really good.”

Chase was one of those that tried off of others before ordering himself. Of course it made him look like an asshole but he was okay with it. As the waiter came by, Chase flagged them down to get his own chili cheese fries and a strawberry shake. “Huh, I’ll have to try that next time”

   “You can sit here if you like, no worries,” Kendra said coolly, digging into her chili cheese fries as she felt a shadow hovering overhead. She knew the diner was packed at this hour, and probably had no more seating space. “I was gonna leave in a bit anyways.”

“Honestly you can stay with me if you want. Only on one condition” Chase said at first only to take a fork and poke at her chili cheese fries as well. Grabbing some of the fries on the fork and munching on it with a cheeky smile to his lips as he finished chewing before speaking up. “Thank you so much. You want a shake too? We can split it”

“Hey, can you do me a huge favor?” Zosia queried, leaning over a little then pointing out at the large St Bernard dog laying under the tree with her back to them. “I will literally pay you anything if you could get her for me. She’s super pissed at me because I wouldn’t give her the bacon out of my sandwich and every time I go to get her she moves away. Please,” she pleaded. “Oh, she’s friendly, just not to me at the moment.”

Looking past Zosia and to the St Bernard, Chase had never dealt with a St Bernard before, the only one he could recall was from the movies Beethoven. “How do I get her to come over if she’s mad over not having bacon?” Chase asked, trying to lessen the look that he had on his face. “As long as she’s friendly. “ He chuckled softly.

                   She’d been sitting in this bar for almost an hour, sipping a Crown and Coke and watching the comedian on stage fumble to earn even one chuckle out of the crowd. As far as Sonam could tell, the only reason anyone was laughing was because they’d maybe had one cocktail too many. After yet another awkward set up, followed by a punch line that fell flat, she turned to the person at the table next to hers. “Am I just missing the joke?”

Chase decided to go for a drink, getting away from his work as an excuse that he was seeing this stand up comedian when really the guy was bombing it hard. Soon enough Chase wasn’t having it and he turned to get another Scotch. Hearing the girl next to him. “No unless the joke left the man at the front door. As if it would use the back door for how shit it is” Saying to her with annoyance to the comedian but cheering up when he got his drink. “You know, we could make a drinking game out of this. Anytime he tries to make a Trump joke”

“Okay, I just got a picture of the guy I’m interviewing next week.” She said, a smirk sliding on her face as she looked through her file. “You will definitely hear no complaints from me.”

“Oh?” Chase lifted an eyebrow to match her expression. “Let me see, he must be super hot. Let’s hope he doesn’t blow the interview.”

“I’ve never been much of a pet person. I think I’d feel bad if I had to lug him everywhere I decided to move.” Such a shit at commitment to anything, apparently. Places, jobs, people, pets. “But if you ever need a cat-sitter… Keep me in mind.” As much as he loved cats, it was the sort of behaviour and attitude he had towards babies too. Only in small dosages. “It’ll start at one. But if you end up with five by the end of the year…” 

“I’ll definitely keep you in mind when I need someone to watch after him.” Chase nodded to James, before chuckling at his joke. “I will end up as the crazy cat man, I promise you that. Just this little guy and I, we’ll be fine”
