I've seen you talk about criminal minds and I've been rewatching it lately so: thoughts on Alex Blake?
She's my underrated favorite character honestly, I'm very sad she was on for such a short while, and she gets very little love/attention in the fandom :(
OH MY GOD I LOVE ALEX BLAKE SO FREAKING MUCH, she's honestly one of the best characters on criminal minds and people only don't like her because she isn't Emily. The whole Ethan storyline is something that I will never get over because her portrayal of grief is just so beautiful, especially on the Halloween episode where she finally shares a little about him. I also thought that she was just what Reid needed and it broke my heart when she left especially after Meadbh and her death she was so supportive of their relationship and was one of the only people he properly spoke to about it and she helped him through his grief because she knows what its like to lose someone so close to you. I wish we got to see more of her as an individual because she is SUCH a badass but I'm not gonna lie I think the writers got a bit lazy with her and just turned her into Reids mommy instead of keeping her as her own person, this being said, her calling Reid by Ethan's name when he was hurt is perfect characterisation of loss and it kind of shows why their relationship is so emphasised within the show. but yeah! I think that Alex is probably in my top 3 criminal minds characters and I just WISH she was able to stay on for longer, but I do understand how important leaving was for her.
