Hot new OT3 Jarchivarns
alexofeddis okay but have you considered that we
a) not do that
b) watch Clone Wars instead
Why, you ask?
1) 22 minute episodes with lots of standalones and short arcs so that it can be watched casually/out of order
2) Padme gets a bunch of fun, independent plot arcs
3) AHSOKA TANO where do I start with Ahsoka Tano
4) Lots of really great female friendships like holy shit
5) You will end up having Asajj Ventress feels I know you THIS WILL HAPPEN
6) The clone troopers get lots of great arcs that really get into identity, agency, duty, etc in ways that parallel a lot of ideas that come up in Dollhouse, Orphan Black, and Temeraire
7) Speaking of which, you can join me and nevawaveharp in discussing the great Dollhouse AU
8) Basically the clone troopers are awesome and you will cry over them
9) Also, Rex and Fives probably have the highest number of "are you fucking kidding me this is supposed to be a kids show that got REALLY DARK" episodes
10) Sweet Jesus can we talk about the level of political commentary in this show
- Military/Industrial complex manipulating both sides of the war
- Banking corruption and fraud
- Using the instability of war to create reasons for taking and maintaing political power
- "Support the troops!" As a rallying cry against any who disagree with the war while at the same time -
- Dehumanizing the clones and not paying attention to what happens to them after the fighting
- Painting all of those who seek other solutions or who disagree with you as 'unpatriotic'
- Holding military funding as sacrosanct and slashing funding for social issues
- aaaah hhh THIS SHOW
alexofeddis replied to your post:on a completely different track, I watched the new...
That was how I interpreted it, that her identity isn’t set in stone. Or MAYBE THIS IS WHERE GENDER FLUIDITY COMES FROM o_0
ooh, maybe!!!! I'm...not holding my breath lol but you never know!
alexofeddis reblogged this from nadadunh and added:
I’ve seen this go by my dash like 47 times now and every time I think they’re kissing
Haha it does look like that a little XD Are you familiar with the Hobbit / Tolkien?
Was just chatting with goldenegg31 about Zuko and I thought this should be shared
Azula: Hey dad really loves you and wants you to come back to the fire nation Zuko: okay Azula: Lulz no going to try and imprison you and drag you back to the Fire Nation ... Azula: Hey help me and dad will love you again and you can come back to the fire nation Zuko: I'm sure nothing will go wrong this time.
Iroh: *consistently has Zuko's best interests at heart and looks out for him and regularly demonstrates how much he cares about him* Azula: *straight up tries to kill Zuko. repeatedly.* Iroh: Don't do the thing Azula: You should do the thing. Zuko: I'M GONNA DO THE THING
Like seriously, Zuko, honey, I love you, but you're not the brightest bulb in the lamp. Just chill out and look pretty for a bit, kay?
