The loss of identity through being someone else
"Y mientras ese lobo crecía, seguía un aroma a tierra y hojas y lluvia, y su Alfa le decía que había encontrado a quien lo completaría. El niño había amado al lobo."
“Es perfecto porque es imperfecto. Como tú. Como Gordo. Como todos nosotros. Es perfecto por la intención. Por lo que significa. Él lo entenderá, Mark. Te prometo que lo hará”

can we get another "In season" work? I've been dying to see Otayuri's baby or their first heat together *puppiest puppy eyes to ever puppy*
All those dumb romantic movies made such a big deal about the first time you held your kid. Like the whole world just spontaneously changed and the earth shifted its axis and everything you thought you knew vanished, replaced with the wide, blinking blue eyes of the life you brought into existence. Fucking dumb movies were right.
Dammit.
Yuri, still in his hospital smock, held his baby girl in his arms. She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen in his life. She was all there was. She was more important than any record he’d ever broken, every medal he’d ever earned. She was the center point around which Yuri was content to orbit for the rest of his life. He’d do anything for her. Give her whatever she needed. Guide her and nurture her until she could spread her wings and fly even farther than he ever had. She was –“Yura?” Otabek called. “Holy shit,” Yuri whispered, staring at this goddess in his arms, this naked vulnerable thing that was somehow divine all the same. Otabek rolled his eyes. “Yura. Let me hold her.”Oh. Right.Yuri walked the baby to Otabek’s side, finding he never wanted to let go. It was a metaphysical torture to place her into Otabek’s arms, but then he was just leaning over Otabek, an arm around his omega, staring at the child they’d brought into the world together. “Thank you,” Otabek whispered. “I know you didn’t–”“Beks,” Yuri cut him off, “I wanted this more than anything.”Otabek turned his face up, still red and flush and sweat-sticky from birth, but Yuri kissed him all the same, tilted their heads together, rubbed and nuzzled. “What’s her name?” Yuri asked Otabek.Otabek didn’t even have to think about it. They didn’t know they were getting a girl, but he responded easily: “Nika. In honor of your grandpa.” Yuri brushed a wet dot off of Nika’s forehead before he even realized it came from his face. “Shit,” Yuri whispered again, sniffling. He wiped at his eyes as he leaned against Otabek, crying in quiet, exhausted, overwhelmed happiness at the greatest accomplishment of his life.
