first day of soriku week babey!!!!!

made this back in january and never posted it anywhere SO NOWS AS GOOD A TIME AS ANY SINCE THE LYRICS ARE RELEVANT TO THE PROMPT (and its short enough to go on tumblr? wild)

SOME BEHIND THE SCENES STUFF

i had two goals while making this gmv:

only use footage of the openings and kh3/remind/MoM

try to switch off the POV of the character for each clip, IRT the lyrics. for example, the first scene is rikus POV, while the second one is soras, etc etc. i managed to only have two of the same POV in a row, which are sora POV while saving riku in remind, and sora POV during the dive to the heart in kh3. so it goes riku -> sora -> riku -> sora -> riku -> sora -> riku -> sora -> sora -> riku -> sora, if that makes any sense

ALSO, this gmv is heavily inspired by this su mv!

i wanted to use the same short version of the song from it, but i couldnt find it w/o the dialogue from su overlaid. so i took the original song and cut it up + stitched it back together myself in sony vegas to match that version, something ive never done before! :3c (pic here, if anyones curious)

soriku week 2023 day 3, ars arcanum/datascape (magic/logic, mythos/logos, the arcane arts versus codes & matrices)

BEHIND A COUPLE DAYS SO IM CATCHING UP, THANKS SAD

finished this gmv around the same time as my last one, and im posting it for day 3 almost entirely bc of the 'magic' keyword in the prompt LOL

my goal for this gmv was to keep the clips in chronological order, and im proud to say i succeeded! even in the 'flashback' sequence towards the end :3c

 now im not saying i want riku to do something as uh. drastic. as homura does at the end of rebellion. but. i noticed the similarities and had to make this lol

the thing about that is. i delete the negative comments. bc Its My Video and i dont think its the place for that bullshit! its a video celebrating a ship!

HOWEVER, i still have a record of all the negative comments in my gmail cuz i get emails about each one

by no means am i the first one to point out the parallels between castle of dreams/enchanted dominion stuff and soriku, but after rewatching a few bbs cutscenes i felt compelled to make this anyway

DAY 6 OF A WEEK-LONG KH 20TH COUNTDOWN

and now for something thats not a gmv

originally i just meant to make a video version of this old post of mine

but then i kept finding more parallels and the video... expanded lmao

if the stories of the disney worlds are meant to be analogous to whats happening in the kh story of the game theyre in, theres literally no other explanation for the beauty and the beast world being in kh2 alongside sora and rikus reunion (esp with riku being in ansems form) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

happy last day of pride gaymers, i started putting this together around spring of last year and meant to post it during june bc of all the lgbtqia+ vines,  but then i didnt
