I continue to sob before the movie's even out

After seeing Jason Hand and Fawn Veerasuthorn's interview regarding why the lead for "Hexed" went from male to female, I"m resisting the urge to crash out again. I fail to understand how a son and mother story wouldn't have a strong story, and I still believe this was a corporate push over a creative one. The fanart I saw online speaks to the fact that we deserved a sibling story. We've gotten a lot of mother-daughter stories in animation within the past decade, and Disney themselves has done several sister dynamics lately (while the brothers get screwed over), while a brother-sister relationship hasn't really been done by them before. Heck, them both being witches means this is perfect for "Hansel and Gretel"!

Oh, I can smell the drama coming in a second. This teaser trailer is fine. It feels your typical ‘outcast teen finds out they have magical powers’. There is an interesting aspect of where Alice seems to have been apart of the magical world before she left it for some reason and is trying to keep Billie from it. She could have fallen in love with a man from the normal world, but something tragic happened and she ran away with Billie to the normal world. But, that’s all I have.

It is definitely much better than an ‘certain’ trailer, but that isn’t saying much.

Oh god, this is crazy yet so true. June is already busy month.

I’ve had a sketchbook all year and most of what I’ve doodled is on the fly. I mainly did a lot of art “for myself” in a way that I wasn’t... God I don’t know how to explain it. Mostly ponies as usual.

But here’s some peoples. Included a digital Raven I found to make up for blocking her out of that middle shot (bad face day oh my god). And also ahhh... She’s just there. I just needed to draw out something I was imagining and stuck it on a Meredith knock off lol

Played around with some head shots the last few days. Alice and Carnelian were kind enough to volunteer. Practice makes perfect kids.

Anyway... This is part of the main HOALS group from my story. Raven made the suggestion and everyone just crowded on in. And Alice seems to be drawn into a lot of stuff, but such is her lot in this life lol. I never really realized what a mixed lot I had either once I started looking at my diversity.

Also, I laughed really fucking hard for 5 minutes when I realized that it’s only two people in this group who aren’t or haven’t been in some kind of relationship with each other...

I’ve gotta go to bed now though cause it’s midnight and my hands HURT and I’m not gonna get anymore drawing done tonight. ;A;
