Well, apparently my alien Skullector is now considered “lost” - October 15th label printed, never scanned by UPS - and Mattel has issued a replacement order for it… and conveniently didn’t tell me in the first email that it’s for a JUNE 2026 SHIP DATE. Just a “hold tight for the tracking number in an email” that never materialized after nearly two weeks.

It’s been brought to my attention that this has affected a lot of other people too, which… suggests that the sold alien dolls never existed and they were oversold. Or maybe Mattel has a serious internal theft problem. Who knows.

But this especially disgusts me because Mattel considers my order “fulfilled” on their website prior to my email and replacement order, and Mattel should have contacted affected orders and switched them to “back ordered, June 2026” ON THE WEBSITE because there’s bound to be one person they effectively scam because they forgot because of … life, and the ups tracking label will (probably) be invalid after xyz duration of time.

Seriously. Do better, Mattel.

And honestly… Skullectors should just be open preorders. Fuck this scalping FOMO.
