I love my hometown, really, but there's nothing here. I never understood how most of the people I grew up with are still here, like never even left after high school, it's like they never gave the world a chance. There's so much emptiness and sorrow here, so much heavy I can literally feel it dragging me down. I've noticed this town produces three kinds of people, those who never return, those who never even left, and then those who leave but always feel this odd internal calling to come back home, even if it's for a day or a month the hold this place has on me is sickening, you can feel the hate and envy most of these people carry towards each other. How can people force themselves to be happy in a place that is lacking in such, everyone fakes it here and everyone pretends as if this is the happiest place on earth. The people I use to call friends have gone to the wayside, family no longer keeps in touch, and the people I'm still connected with I see the look on their faces, wanting, pleading to be freed. But how can I free them all when I haven't fully escaped. It feels as if there is a curse on this town, some kind of evil lives deep inside this place, everything that is good is in a constant struggle, you fee the unease in the vibes surrounding the town. Countless faces walking around all with the same blank face, everyone dresses the same everyone looks the same and everyone fucks the same person. Sometimes I want to burn this town to the ground, other times I want to free this town, mainly I just want to run, run away as fast as I can and never turn back. I wish I could help my parents leave this place, they're so much better, yet they can't even realize it. Countless stories of the bizarre, freak, and alien encounters have been said about this place, yet everyone living here has never heard them, I can't wait for the day people start to wake up in this town, I sadly feel it may be too late though. I'm leaving in a day, and I'm wearing this weight on my shoulders, I feel this hold on me, I feel the pull to stay, I just need this day to be over already. May the gods have mercy on this place and may the universe correct the negative vibes this town has produced. I feel for anyone who grew up in a small rural town, my heart goes out to. You are not alone, and will not be forgets. God speed amigos.
