Hucklerabbot 'hey we saw you across the bar having an anxiety attack and were wondering if there's someone we can call for you'
quick silly sketch before bed :p
really love sundaydriver because its just The most awkward guy in the world x guy who is somehow even more awkward and i think thats beautiful
i really really do love the styling they did for stratt in the movie. she is so soft and comfortable because she has to be strong and strict and that wonderful juxtaposition lends really well to her characterization. all of her billowy clothes hiding her frame, just the same as how she has to hide away the core of herself to get the work done.......
does anyone else think they cute-ifed astrid too much in the later movies? like the style as a whole got a lot softer, and its a pretty common complaint with toothless, but i cant help but feel theres a bit of misogyny at play to make her seem softer and more appealing? idk
hmm,.. thinking about a hijack (or honestly jack frost au if u cut the last bits) au where when Jack wakes up the moon does actually talk to him. Instead of being destined to join the guardians Jack must become one of the Moon's shootings starts. He still brings fun and joy and winter, but every winter solstice he becomes a shooting star and flies across the night sky. It's his job then to grant the wish of any child that wishes on him. He doesn't have any special powers to do so (the Moon isn't that nice) and has to word play genie the wishes into being something he can work with while still keeping the wonder for the kid. Sometimes this comes in the form of asking for favors from other spirits.
So one day this kid Jamie makes a wish to meet his dead grandpa (or something similar idk), so Jack goes to ask Father Time to send them back a bit. Through some mishaps and miscommunication they end up in Berk. Because it was purposeful Jack is still a spirit and almost no one can see him, so everyone there assumes Jamie washed up on his own. Jamie has to either a) convince everyone of a time traveling winter spirit that grants wishes or b) pretend Jack isn't making ridiculous faces behind Stoick every time he talks. Neither plan goes well.
Eventually they do get the riders to see Jack, and they're able to start figuring out how to get them back. Something something idk plot romance magic ect ect. u see the vision
ok i keep seeing this crop up in posts about trans dennis and i feel like i need to clear the air or something. dennis would not bind for his work shifts. he, as a doctor, who presumably wants to continue practicing medicine and eventually have top surgery, would not bind for 12 hours. not only is it *incredibly* uncomfortable to bind for longer than 6-8 hours, it is dangerous. the prolonged compression can lead to fractured ribs, nerve and tissue damage, and even make top surgery less viable because of the damages. i just dont think Whitaker, as a doctor and a generally reasonable person, would take that risk.
But Fear Not! for there is a far more reasonable answer to his binding problem: trans tape. i think it makes more sense, tape not only lasts longer - several days to a week - but its also more compact and easy to hide. its also one less piece of clothing dennis would have to wash, and as a homeless person that might be a boon.
so unless you're going for a super angsty story about Dennis harming himself to combat it gender dysphoria and for some reason binding is the only way to do it, just have him use tape.
signed sincerely, a trans person
