Minuteman Project founder and ALIPAC endorse Kelli Ward for U.S. Senate
Arizona State Senator, Dr. Kelli Ward continues to build support as she challenges five term Senator John McCain. Jim Gilchrist, Co-founder and President of the Minuteman Project on Friday gave Ward an early, formal endorsement. This comes just one week after an early, formal endorsement from Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC).
The personal endorsement from Gilchrist reads:
Arizona State Senator Dr. Kelli Ward, seeking to replace current U. S. Senator John McCain, appears determined to bring our nation back under the rule of law insofar as U. S. immigration laws are concerned.
Americans, please join me, Jim Gilchrist, in endorsing Kelli Ward for U. S. senator. This is our last chance to elect conscientious members of both chambers of Congress who will finally take on the task of returning America to its heralded status as a “nation of laws.”
Gilchrist also wrote, “It is finally time for the “mob rule” and the political tyranny to stop. America truly needs brave men and women in government who will have the will and conscience to bring our nation back under the rule of law”.
ALIPAC, in a press release on August 20th wrote, “Ward has the campaign experience necessary to defeat John McCain whose notorious negative campaign tactics are likely to backfire when he attacks a respected Arizona woman”.
“Both John Boehner and John McCain are corrupt and deceptive politicians rich with the big money of the US Chamber of Commerce,” said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. “Boehner and McCain are trying their best to help Obama and the Chamber lock in millions of illegal aliens via amnesty legislation. We are going to do all we can to support J.D. Winteregg’s and Kelli Ward’s efforts to throw these treacherous men out of office just like we helped to throw Eric Cantor out in 2014. In fact, using ALIPAC’s Cantor List, the research we provide with each person on the list, and the know-how we learned fighting Eric Cantor, we plan to target close to 100 GOP amnesty supporters in 2016.”
A recent poll showed Ward leading McCain by nine points. The independent polling company Gravis Marketing conducted the August 15 poll. It surveyed 844 Republican primary voters and 427 Democratic. The poll was sponsored by One America News Network.
Ward was the choice of 45 percent of the registered Arizona voters polled, while McCain only garnered 36 percent. 1,271 of the more than 1,400 voters polled say they intend to vote in the 2016 primary election. Approximately one fifth remained undecided at this early stage of the race.
Senator Ward told the Today’s News-Herald, “If each of you gets two or three of your Republican friends who do not usually vote to go and pull that lever, we can truly change the status quo in Washington,” Ward told the crowd. “We can make history.”
