Sharing Cool Art and Artists (7/11/2014)
It's that time again when I feel like sharing some cool artists I've found lately. I know that art is one of the most subjective things on the planet next to favorite color or music, but I believe that any of the artists I list below are worth checking out at least once. Some of which offer commissions, and some of which just do cool stuff.
This is not a complete list in the least, as there are a ton of great artists out there.
-
Die-kraehe (deviantArt) - Die-kraehe has a pretty unique style and focuses on the 1900s of Modern China with a boat load of neat characters and an emphasis on history. The color is really great and the characters in the gallery are always expressive.
-
Torisketch (deviantArt / Tumblr) - Torisketch (or Tori-fan) is an artist from France who is a big fan of characters with red hair. She's also working on a project known as Mask with some fantastic designs.
-
Alisachristopher (deviantArt / Tumblr) - Alisachristopher is an artist who has worked on all kinds of projects from games like "To The Moon" and pixel dolls. Currently working on character design for a game with a very Indian feel.
-
Pagoda-Comics (deviantArt / Tumblr) - Pagoda-Comics has a wonderful grasp on an East Asian style often featuring a Japanese influence. Sketches are mostly featured on tumblr, while more completed works can be found on deviantArt.
-
meatyelbow (tumblr) - Meatyelbow features tons of great watercolor art among other things like sketches and animations. There's all kinds of subject matter on display from still life to animals in business suits.
-
Little-Endian (deviantArt / Tumblr) - Little-Endian runs a webcomic known as Leaves featuring both French and English language options. Lots of cool drawings can be found on her tumblr in relation to this, but a pretty adorable style all around.
-
Pixelshroom (Tumblr) - Pixelshroom does tons of animated sprite work tackling all kinds of subject matter. Tanks, aliens, cows, Grecian art and more. Pretty cool stuff.
To The Moon Launch Poster, now available on Imagekind.
