Friday’s Impression - The Moon is Always Full
I have always been attracted to the moon and to the magic of light. This Friday, the focus is on both.
The Moon Pendant designed by Alison Berger plays visual tricks just like Earth’s Luna. I discovered this beautiful luminaire at the Holly Hunt Showroom in New York City.
Its structure is inspired by the delicate old-world instruments of meteorology. Its fascination hovers within a pair of glass-blown hemispheres appearing full when viewed from the front and offering just a sliver of form when viewed from the side.
The moon is always full but our perception of light on its surface changes.
