it wasn’t typical of caspian to let life get to him. usually, he was relaxed and able to handle most things that were thrown his way. but today -- god, today just sucked. three long phone conversations arguments with his dad later, and one tearful phone conversation with his mom, and cas was a downright mess. on top of everything going on with his family, other burdens that kept being brought up definitely weren’t helping his decreasing mood. cas knew that sitting at home thinking wasn’t the best idea, so he found himself with alistair, hoping that this would help -- and it usually did. but unable to hold himself together, cas found himself sat on the couch, a hand covering his face in hopes it would hide his emotions. 

“ do you ever just -- “ his voice was soft and covered with sadness. “ sometimes everything is just so much. you know? i don’t know how to deal with all of it. i don’t know how i’m supposed to keep up with secrets and lies and -- fuck. “ he wasn’t directly mentioning the secrets kept between him and the duncan brothers, but under the blanket of things he couldn’t tell other people. it was definitely there. “ i came here to hangout. not to be a fucking mess. “ cas wasn’t typically known to cry, which just made him feel worse consider it was in front of someone he tried to be so grounded for. sighing, caspian wiped down his face, revealing his full demeanor to al. “ i need a fucking beer. “
