I started introducing myself as al, rather than aliyah, and for some reason in my head it would be this big thing, that people would choose to still call me aliyah (cause I usually say 'aliyah or al') but they don't, they just casually adopt the name and OMG!!

the amount of joy I feel when people casually call me Al, and they choose to call me that? I can't even.

It makes me want to squeal and kick my feet like a teenager, it just makes me so happy.
