If the holiday season of 1968 didn't give you a literal stomach ache, this ad certainly tried to sell you the cure, or at least a soft object to hurl at your relatives. Illustrated with the frantic, rubber-limbed energy that only Jack Davis can provide, we see a multigenerational mosh pit of people bludgeoning each other with oversized medicine boxes. It is the ultimate "Mad Men" era pivot: selling a remedy for indigestion by encouraging a full-scale pillow riot. Nothing says "peace on earth" like a mail-order $2.50 plushie designed specifically for "unguarded moments of hostility."
