If Humans were given the chance to start again and the Council offered to let them start on Eden or to remain on Earth, would all off them go or would some Humans choose to stay?
Me personally, as much as a honest to God paradise fascinates me it’s not... home, you know :(
I’d probably stay on my little blue marble in nowhere-Space unless ALL of humanity left.
2, 4, 12 and 14 for the MC asks? 💚
You wonderful soul, I’m ecstatic to answer these. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did writing it. 2. Where are they from?
As he spent his childhood divided between the two countries, Eastern Serbia for the beginning to early childhood and Great Britain for middle childhood and onward, I’ll describe both places.Corbyn was born in the Muždinac village of Eastern Serbia. Its a smaller place close to the mountain edge of the Rtanj. This is known as Serbia’s “Magic Mountain” due to its mysterious properties, natural design, and rare medicinal herbs. Due to Eastern Serbia’s relationship with magic, it was easier for his mother to practice her craft without much suspicion. However, due to the superstitious nature of her neighbors, she was quick to forbid Jakov and, later Corbyn, from practicing at home. While it is not expressly known why the Reyes transitioned from the Slavic country to Great Britain, it was a sudden and drastic change for the children, more so for Jakov. Corbyn, being 9 years old was able to integrate a bit easier. It has only been a few years since their family moved to Bristol, UK. He isn’t sure he likes living in such a crowded place.
4. What’s their favorite food?
Favorite foods for Corbyn vary as he has lived in different countries causing his palate to be diverse, so to speak. A childhood favorite is punjene paprike. This dish is a stuffed pepper with a mix of minced meat, rice, eggs, spices such as paprika, tomato, and eggs.
His current favorite would be pad thai with an ungodly amount of spice. When he can’t feel his tongue anymore due to the Scoville heat unit of the spice and his eyes are burning is when he knows it’s hot enough. If eating food causes your fingers to tremble and your whole body temperature raises a degree or two, it’s no longer just food; it’s an adventure.
12. Which are their thoughts on deatheaters?
One would assume, from the context of presentation for death-eaters, that an evaluation of them would be an easy assessment. Their social standing, marred by an allegiance to a dark force with reckless endangerment, should be seen as wholly negative. For Corbyn Reyes, this……isn’t necessarily the case. While he has no desire to be part of that organization nor does he share their ideology, he has some minor respect for their ambitions. Is it misplaced? Probably.
They fear nothing, at least they do from what little he knows of them. That sort of untouchable prowess, to one such as him, is fascinating. Yet their blatant contempt for muggle-born witches/wizards is not something he desires to share. He may question their abilities due to how he was raised that is as far as his considerations for his fellow students go. So, in a sense, it’s a complicated mess.
14. Any crushes?
Corbyn is…..how shall phrase it……emotionally inept. While he is capable of emoting, most of them consist of neutral, to aggravated, to furious. Other emotions are less “constructive”. So, that wild beating of his heart, it was the pad thai surely not that tall drink of water. That being said, he finds himself a bit out of sorts when around Samuel Gabehart, Laurent King, and Hector Silva. He had a crush on Merula once but blamed it on food poisoning…
I'm looking up self publishing novellas and may I just say I'm not the most up to date with things coz I'm shocked "Fahrenheit 451" and "War of the Worlds" are both novellas
One of the things I really love about the HP verse is the fact that there’s no limit on it. We’re shown how magic works in the UK and in parts of Europe (but you can’t expect me to believe that all of Europe can be represented by France, Germany and Scotland? What about Scandinavia? Iceland? The Finns? They’re a completely separate people! Spain - the Moors in Spain? The Basque? Eastern Europe, where young schools have sprung up now that they have new countries and don’t send their children to Russia? Old schools in the med dating back to classical times? Rival schools in Turkey for the kurds and the turks?) BUT the vast majority of the world is open.
At least, I like to think it is.
Which means that we have pheonix and hippogriffs and dragons and unicorns sure, but Newt travelled the world. A demiguise is all very well and yes, fine, apparently it came from the far east - except that demi and guise betray a decidedly European origin for its name and I can’t find it mentioned anywhere outside Fantastic Beasts / the HP verse. (If I’m wrong, please let me know)
I want to see the Qilin. I want the bunyips. I want giant gambos swimming over in the levitated aquatic habitat in Newt’s suitcase; I want kappa and orang-bati and mapinguari.
And, you know, you’re an international lot aren’t you? Tumblr covers a fair chunk of the world. I know a decent amount about the mythology of my own country and I’m learning as much as I can about the mythology and magical creatures of other countries, but I figured I’d ask you guys. You’ve got to be better than the “top ten scary creatures around the world” list I’m currently reading.
So.
Send me mythology and magical creatures from your country (or not from your country!) and I’ll find a way to work them into a fic.
If I can’t work them into a fic, then rest assured that I’ll treasure the knowledge anyway because hell yes more magic things and more cultures to learn about. I will also love you forever more, but that’s a given.
guys i had no idea a godchild wikia existed. so here’s a link in case anyone else didn’t know either!
edit: i have also added the links to both godchild and angel sanctuary wikias on my blog. all you need to do is go into ‘directory’ and then ‘navigate’ to find a bunch of links.
