so like i binge watched all of lighter and princess and i have so many thoughts but most of all, i really adore the main pairing and how everyone agrees that zhu yun is actually obsessed with li xun and while there were lots of moments post-break up i was like wth at li xun i still feel it was so in character for him to be that way, and just be plain mean and a jerk, and i feel like the fact they had fights that way and made up without any grand gestures made the relationship real and tangible.
it felt like real couples. the growth is slow. the communication is there but it's behind all the harsh words, that made their making up and all feel so ugly and real for me.
while what i watched for was academic rival to lovers, their back to lovers arc was so really good. im honestly glad they didn't her mom's approval at the end and just went with it bc she is so helicopter parent, i wanted to throw her off a cliff everytime she spoke. i want more of the pair but i am also satisfied, ending served.
i wanted a worse ending for gao and fang but idc, i like how it wrapped up bc i also feel like him getting terminally ill over always thinking about his ef up served gao right.
LIGHTER AND PRINCESS PEOPLE, it was a good run.
