ok so sal is now canonically some sort of eldritch dimension hopping guardian that has the sole purpose of fighting the darkness (or something like that. idk I havent rewatched the game in a while and while I liked episode 5 it also confused my dum dum brain)

this obviously proves the existence of multiple dimensions and therefore different outcomes of the sally face story. obviously the 'art style' isn't the only thing that changes. so technically we only saw ONE ending of sal's story

that means, somewhere, another version of sal is happy and goofing around with his friends and his best bro, the cult is defeated and maybe travis mellowed out a little and got more comfortable with himself in that reality. it may not be our sal but I think he would be kinda happy to see things turned out a lot less shitty for this version of himself and his friends :]

It took two years to be placed on a waitlist for surgery, when a therapist finally decided that I was “stable” enough (without any explanation of what that actually means).And it wasn’t just surgery that was made difficult. Psychiatrists in the past have encouraged me to stop taking testosterone, convinced it was making me “worse.” While hospitalized for depression, I had nurses trying to withhold my hormones because they didn’t feel it was “necessary.”This last January, I finally got top surgery and I now have consistent access to hormone replacement therapy. But I still live in fear that, should my mental health decline again, I won’t have access to the gender-affirming care that has vastly improved my life and wellbeing.

“I’ve already experienced ‘the look’ from a medical professional,” they went on. “The one they use when you tell them [your mental health status], and they’re suddenly very skeptical of you.”

Mentally ill trans people, then, are ultimately left to the whims of whatever mental health clinician they happen to be seeing — with very little recourse if they disagree with that clinician’s assessment of their readiness for care.
