Hey all, it's Noah.
Long time no... sea (I'm sorry, I'm sorry)
A brief announcement thread: All At Sea will be going on a little hiatus while our writer (me) has to finish their MA thesis. I ambitiously believed I could write both the show and this thesis at the same time, but alas. I cannot write the show I want to write and devote the time and care to it that I want to while also writing my thesis. Both projects will suffer as a result, and both of them are important to me.
So, while I had planned to have this show release later this year, it's looking more like next year.
I know this is a dreadfully long time to wait, especially for a show with a backlog this quick to get through, and I am truly sorry. But we will be back! The winds shall favor us once more, and with a breeze in our sails we shall bring stories ashore once more.
Our feed won't be silent, we have some smaller projects cooking on the back-burner, but main story episodes will be taking a pause until August (which is when I submit my monolith of a research project).
I hope you guys decide to stick around until our return form the open seas. Thank you so much to everyone who has listened, who has commented, and who has expressed their love for our silly little sailor show. You guys are fantastic.
I leave you all with Dickenson:
"As if the Sea should part
And show a further Sea —
And that — a further — and the Three
But a presumption be —
Of Periods of Seas —
Unvisited of Shores —
Themselves the Verge of Seas to be —
Eternity — is Those —"
Much love, and may you all move forward with an even keel.
Happy Ides of March
To all those who 🗡️
Today is an excellent day to listen to Episode 8 of All at Sea
(Yes Louis made a topical meme)
under new management (not really)
Just a wee notice for you all!
Our dear writer (and the voice of everyone’s least favourite captain of a certain vessel) has taken up a new moniker and will henceforth be known as Kestrel Bell.
This changes nothing apart from the credits in the descriptions of our Arc 1 episodes, and going forward in Arc 2 they will be credited as such both in-episode and in episode descriptions.
(yes on a lesser note this is also an announcement that Arc 2 is officially in pre-production!)
We hope you can adapt your sails to this change in the winds!
