Wrote this to my friend who had previously been crying for an hour because someone threatened to kill her non violent Pitbull

Don't worry!! People that say hurtful and stupid things about pitbulls are either uneducated or scared. They are some of the sweetest, and most tolerable dogs. For the uneducated bunch, pitbulls are not inherently violent. People probably get this from their "history", which is only because of bad owners who wanted fighting dogs or guard dogs. Yes they have unique jaw capabilities but they have to be trained or mistreated to be that aggressive. Dachshunds and Chihuahuas actually bite more people annually. For the scared bunch just because they could hurt you doesn't mean they will or even want to. If you are scared of the possibilities of them hurting you then you shouldn't be around any animals. It is so dumb that owners feel bad about their sweet and kind dogs because another person who has never met one is uneducated. For every person who is mean to you and your baby, there is another backing you up!
