"I thought you left town."
Thanksgiving || Cora&Derek
Derek slid the door to his loft open and stepped inside.
When they were younger, on occasions such as Thanksgiving, the Hale house would be full to the brim of people. Family, friends, plus ones - everyone. There was always a warm atmosphere surrounding the house and big celebrations were a tradition for them. And even though their mother, Talia, was pack leader, somehow she'd find the time to throw these big gatherings and play host to werewolf and human alike.
Derek had fond memories of growing up. This was why holidays such as now and Christmas were hard for him - they were reminders of what he'd lost, and it always pained him, although he wouldn't admit it, when he spent each year on his own. Previously he'd had Laura and now she was gone, he had Peter and Cora. If he was honest though, he still didn't entirely trust Peter, so having Cora back meant all that much more to him. He'd turned antisocial during the past few years so there were no more big celebrations, but just sitting spending time with his sister was better than anything he could think of - he'd do anything for her, and though he didn't say it near enough, he loved her and would go to hell and back for her.
God help her if she got a boyfriend, Derek would be on him in seconds if he even stepped one foot out of line.
He shut the door and wandered further in with the bags of Chinese food, setting them down on the wooden dinner table, "Cora," he called, "I'm back. I got the food, and I don't know what movie you want to watch. Your choice. But no fucking chick flicks dammit."

Blackout party || College AU
Stiles wasn't quite sure when 'blackout in the dorms' turned into 'party in the dorms with glow sticks', but it was both annoying and hilarious at the same time and since he couldn't do anything towards the homework he'd been trying to complete when the blackout happened (video game design kind of require a computer to work) he'd joined in the masses of people in the lounge and surrounding corridors.
He snapped a couple of glow sticks into life, wrapping them around his wrists and neck so at the very least people would see where he was. He raised an eyebrow as music started playing. Had someone found a battery operated stereo or something? He decided not to question it and bobbed around to the music happily, almost knocking into several people and their drinks.
