Though she may wish she were still in Atlanta for the opening weekend of the league celebrating with her co-workers, she’s partly glad to have made it back to spend her evening with the rest of those that she loved. Work was family, the small town she’d lived in her whole life was family— and a family favourite (or, simply a Lara and Tess favourite) was a Casillas dessert wine that she was finishing off. Her organisation had won in this weekend’s first league matches, this was another birthday celebration for Brandon, and she had every reason to enjoy a celebratory glass. So far, she was proud of herself for avoiding the dessert table, but as the familiar unavoidable tang of wine bites at her tongue, she wants something to wash it away. Water, probably. She’s always been a lightweight. Always would be. “One of these days I’ll be able to drag you with me to an event,” Lara vows to he other brightly. “Even if it’s just in Seattle, I swear it’s more fun than it sounds...” She hasn’t shut up about it since she’d gotten home, and she bites her tongue, chiding herself. “...I’ll stop, I swear, I just... I love your suit, by the way. I should’ve known you and Brandon would opt for colourful powersuits.” Two of the best people in her life in clean, powerful suits. Her good mood was already making her sappy for the holiday. “Yours looks better, though.”
