Allie is from the Skytown short story 'The Runaway' which can be read on my FA.
The story follows Margo's best friend, the prim and sheltered Allison, as she runs away from an arranged marriage to her and her fiance's home in Tucson. Its a coming of age for young adults that took longer than others to get started in the 'real world.'
With support from her new friends Allison learns to gain some independence and take care of herself.
