I recently read Noticing by The Distant Dusk so I'm looking for fics similar to that please!

Hi, after looking through the tags, I'm hoping you might be a good person to ask.

After seeing the trailer and pics, I'm intrigued by the series and I'm looking into reading the books.

Do you recommend reading Six of Crows or Shadow and Bones first? I don't anything about the universe so I'm looking for any advice???

Hi! Shadow and Bone comes first chronologically, and some characters from that series show up later in Six of Crows, so it makes more sense to read Shadow and Bone first. However, I personally read Six of Crows before knowing anything about Shadow and Bone, and it didn't take away from the reading experience.

I thought it was a flinch of conflict, because she was hacking something of Alie's, I mean yes she's done that a lot before, but there must be enough residual of Alie in her brain (because of her increased intelligence) that part doesn't want to hack the bots. I hope it plays out more, though frankly Ravens been through enough already.

Oooh, that is ALSO an interesting read of that scene.  I agree that Raven has been through enough and I really want her to like, have a chill day at the beach or something.  But I do think the “we can just make a bunch of nightbloods” solution isn’t going to work (it’s too early in the season) so something must go wrong, and “Raven can’t access the ALIE part of her brain easily anymore” would be a handy obstacle.

But you could be right-- it could definitely be a residual “ALIE doesn’t want me to do this” sort of thing!

I would say either it’s been said many times, many ways (Hallmark-y Christmas AU) or feel like you’re falling (virgin!Bellarke) because they’re both very heavy on the fluff and light on the angst, which is not my usual MO.

“Amen,” Clarke said a little more loudly than she intended.  The beer was hitting her now and her limbs felt light and loose with only the warmth of Bellamy’s arm against hers to ground her.  She shifted on the metal stair of his fire escape to get a little more comfortable and took another long swig of beer.  “Here’s to anonymous sex with no feelings for the rest of my life.”

“Amen,” Bellamy echoed, clinking his bottle against hers.
