Reposting @karptein: Wille zum Leben (Will to Live). My visit to Jos Zoo/Museum was a mix of happy discoveries and disappointments. Happy to see artifacts from centuries ago, the complex creative processes that went into making them. Was also happy to see and be close to some animals for first time. While taking a picture of jackals, a man @samsemako walked towards me and asked to see my images when I'm done. We sat under a tree and talked about my trip to Jos and States I've been to before that. He told me about his coming to Jos and his love for travels and photography which is something we both have in common. He really was an interesting and friendly person to talk to. My visit would have ended with just the museum and animals but he made my trip better by guiding me through the "100 Steps to Afizere Settlement". On the way up, I saw this tree with its roots running through rocks and that simple scene says everything about what it's like living in this part of the world where the grace of God and our will to survive is what keeps us going everyday. #discoverallmyview #allmyview #blackandwhite #photography #photooftheday #minimalism #travel #landscape https://www.instagram.com/p/Brcv8WGF6I-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ynwm65iahoxw
