Dave Gahan is back with his second Soulsavers outing and delivers with the beautiful lead single "All of This and Nothing." As a whole, the new LP ‘Angels & Ghosts’ can be a tad hit or miss, but “All of This and Nothing” is an absolute gem. 

"All of This and Nothing" is a taut 4:17 of skyward reaching Americana soul and differentiates itself enough from Gahan’s day job as the singer of arena Goth legends Depeche Mode to make an impact. Gahan’s distinctive voice over a bed of warm organ and brass, coupled with a driving rhythm section and some inspired harmonies amount to one helluva tour de force. 

Thirty-five years into his career, Dave Gahan’s voice has become something to truly treasure and to hear this richly unique instrument applied to something outside of the norm is worthwhile. Once again, Gahan is the tortured sinner we need him to be on “All of This and Nothing.”
