Ok so here are some Slovenian or translated-into-Slovenian cartoons, for Demi and for all others who wish to learn the Slovenian language or just watch cute cartoons or something idk ~Ok so let's start with something familiar---> Pipi Longstocking ~Then there's a little cutie cartoon I watched as a kid about tooth mice (which is the slovenian alternative for a tooth fairy I believe) ---> Pravljice o zobnih miškah ~Then something a bit longer, I don't remember this one so well, but still ---> Prvi sneg ~And then there's Cofko Cof, I freaking loved this as a kid, but ohmy the koala bear's voice is so annoying how did I never realize that ---> Cofko Cof ~And here there's like a buttload of new and old, slovenian and non-slovenian cartoons, all in the slovenian language ---> stuff And when I'm less lazy and\or if you run out, I can go look for some more :)
Thanks to allthelanguages, I looked up Cumbric on Wikipedia, and I'm finding it horrifically fascinating. As in, I'm sad that it's a dead language (although so is Latin, and that never stopped anyone) and that I don't know more about it. And I want to learn it, because I'm fascinated with how much like Welsh it is ♥ ♥ ♥ (Also there is counting poem in a kid's poetry book that I'm going to post. Mum says the numbers are in Cumbric, but all it says in the book is that they're how people used to count in Cumbria. Which is not saying mum's wrong, but I'm not saying she's right either. WHATEVER).
500th Post Party
Happy 500th! I decided to make one of those 'I really love your blog' posts to celebrate. Actually, since this is my main blog (and I have three others), I had quite the problem deciding how to actually do this. I follow a bunch of language blogs, obviously, but I also follow a whole heap of fandom blogs. In the end, though, I got lazy and decided that since this is my 500th post on my language blog, I'd do only language blogs themselves.
That being said, I am 100% certain that I missed some blogs in my sweep through. So if you don't see your blog on my list, it's not you, it's me. Especially if I keep popping up in your biggest fan section...

allthelanguages hat deinen Eintrag gerebloggt: I’ve just realised I’ve learned more German on my...
Same! I got to A2 in five years of school and then B2 in less than a year on my own school man don’t even
I think it's because I'm learning it in a way I enjoy.
It's slow, and I'm not learning as much as I'd like, but I'm making progress which was what I never did in the class.
My German teacher, the good man he was, was so fucking boring about it.
He also never really taught us much. He taught us how to count, simple phrases, stupid songs, and a little of the culture. That's it.
Not to mention half of the class never made it easy.
