what i'm confused about is how they initially fell in love. alisha only fell in love with simon due to future simon, but future simon only went into the future because he loved her and wanted to save her. but he wouldn't have wanted that if they had never been together in the first place, and without a future simon to start the cycle, how could alisha have gotten present simon to fall in love with her? i hope this makes sense idk

Yeah, we never see them initially fall in love, but if we think back to the Nazi alternate universe, they got together without the help of Future Simon, so they had to have gotten together on their own in their own universe. I really wanted them to explore that, actually, or even just mention it once.

From my understanding, basically Simon and Alisha fall in love on their own in one timeline. Alisha dies at one some point (by the gamer guy or some other way) and Simon is distraught so he trains himself in parkour to he can be prepared and goes back to fix it.

He shows up in the past, but things are different. Simon and Alisha aren't together and now there's two of him: P!Simon and F!Simon, so he realizes he can't just stick around, and his power won't let him go back into the future, so he saves Alisha from gamer guy/death and in the process sets their loop in motion. He tells her she has to fall in love with P!Simon so he can become F!Simon in the end.

Hope that makes sense. I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but that's my take on it, anyway.

sometimes when I think about college particularly when I'm wearing my Towson sweatpants I think about how me and Capoline could possibly be like legitimate irl best friends next year and how Rachel would take the train from Chicago and we could have Harry Potter marathons in my dorm and otcap breadstix dates and omg???????
