She could not remember how long she had been walking, nor did she remember when she had last eaten anything. She only had one sip of water left and she was almost dead on her feet. Literally if she would run into a walker now. There was no way she could outrun or fight one in her current state. Every now and again, she caught herself sleepwalking, that’s how tired she was.
Unless there was a shelter somewhere near, the chance that she would die from exhaustion, starvation, dehydration or an ordinary walker-attack was enormous, and the blonde did not even dare to hope for salvation anymore. Which is why, when she saw something that looked like a shelter, she didn’t dare to believe it to be true.
She allowed herself to waddle up to the little... building? but was stopped by a fence separating her from safety. Lowering herself onto the ground in front of the gate, she was tempted to start crying. There was no way she could go on, and the fence kept her from staying safely. What else was there left but crying?
