Headcanon for you. Bisexual Marinette. Adrien overhears Mari say how ( hot, adorable, or sexy) another girl is. Because of his rather sheltered upbringing, Adrien knows gay and straight. But other sexualities have escaped him. "Marinette is gay, so she's probably just being friendly " Alya and Mari have no idea.
Adrien of course is still hella supportive.
He is a little confused but he has the spirit.
My bet is he is so relieved to find out there were more then two options.
Adriennette but Adrien is somehow convinced she is gay for Alya and is trying his hardest to be the greatest wingman ever
-It wasn't hard to miss, Marinette happily tackling Alya, getting head pats, it was so obvious.
-Adrien was convinced of this around evillustrator. Especially after her not-date with Nathanael. It was clear she just wasn't interested in guys. How could she not be crushing on Chat noir? Not even a little?
-Adrien telling Nino that he probably shouldn't go for Marinette.
-”You are an awesome guy, but... I don't think Marinette swings that way. But don't tell anyone I said that.”
-”Dude, you sure?”
-Adrien just points out how Alya and Marinette interact.
-”Oh damn... I guess you right. Plus they are cute together.”
-Adrien and Nino decide to help the two out in Animan, by setting Alya and Marinette on a date.
-Ladybug locks Nino and Alya in the lion cage and they realize they have a lot in common.
-Nino and Alya end up dating, and Adrien is mad at Nino.
-”DUDE! Marinette was in love with her! How could you?! I thought you were into Marinette anyway? That is not cool.”
-Nino then explains what alya told him.
-”You mean Alya isn't...”
-”Yup.”
-”But Marinette and her...”
-”Nope. Friends.”
-”Oh...”
-”Damn, well Marinette needs someone that would treat her right.”
-”I agree.”
-After the kagami episode, Adrien was not in love with Kagami, but he thought she and Marinette would be perfect together. So Adrien starts hyping Marinette up to Kagami and vice versa thus causing this misunderstanding.
If the Secret Lovers was a comedy:
Adrien is certain–ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN–that Chloe and Marinette would be perfect girlfriends for each other. He can SEE the way Chloe looks at Marinette when she thinks she isn’t looking. And he’s SEEN Marinette blush. She’s adorable! No one can not fall for the adorable blushing Marinette!
So he makes himself their wingman and tries to everything in his power to push them towards each other. Complimenting Marinette’s looks to Chloe. Regaling Marinette with nice stories about Chloe. Constantly trying to get them paired up together for any project or schoolwork. Using his own lesser-known manipulative skills on Bustier to convince her that having Marinette and Chloe assigned together would help strengthen their bond and help them become friends–never letting her know he’s actually aiming for them to be more than friends. Bustier suspects, but this does fall in lines with her own philosophy so she agrees.
Adrien is bound and determined that Chloe and Marinette belong together. Everyone else thinks he’s crazy. Alya tries to talk him out of it. Nino just shakes his head and says “bro”. Others in the class laugh. But Adrien is not to be deterred! He’s not blind! He KNOWS there is sexual tension there! And he knows they would be amazing in a relationship if he can just get them to admit they’re in love and confess so they can be together as perfect girlfriends.
The only thing is that they already have. And they already are.
Chloe and Marinette have been together for a while and literally NOBODY (who isn’t a kwami) knows. So they’re both a little confused at Adrien’s antics. Chloe keeps wanting to strangle him every time he starts to compliment her girlfriend, regardless of his best friend status. And Marinette can’t stop herself from teasing Chloe about the latest embarrassing story Adrien’s told her, which makes her want to strangle him more. They have no idea what he’s getting at or why.
Eventually, the two figure out what he’s actually after (thanks to Tikki, through means she is not willing to share–aka: asking Plagg, who thinks this whole thing is hilarious). While they’re happy that Adrien supports them, they feel bad that he’s going to all this effort for something that’s already happening…well, Marinette is feeling bad. Chloe is torn between wanting to kill him and wanting to milk this a bit more so Adrien will pay for another overly romantic date to try to set them up on.
Finally, they agree to make Adrien happy. They don’t come right out and tell him they’re dating, oh no. Adrien wants the whole romantic thing and they don’t want to disappoint him after all the effort he put into this. So they stage a “confession” for Adrien to conveniently walk in on so he can think all his efforts were what got them there. Then they make sure to tell him and that he knows he is the first person to find out.
Adrien is so happy.

-Lila became chameleon to ruin Chloé’s rep. That failed.
-Adrien gives the speech to Chloé instead of Marinette, since Marinette hadn't done ‘Anything’ to Lila.
-”That b**** threatened Marinette.”
-And just like that the high road was abandoned, FOREVER
Imagine a post secret lovers Chloe knows Mari is ladybug but they forgot to tell chat so done day ladybug just deeply kisses queen bee and poor adriens only thought is 'HOME WRECKER'
That would Bee hilarious. Chat noir cuts in. He knows Chloé is queen bee and steps in between.

Secret Lovers AU: the Class puts on a Romeo and Juliet play. Chloé and Marinette "fight" and try to one up each other, seeing who's a better actress, Chlomeo or Juliette?
I actually thought of something else:
Adrien gets cast as the roll of Romeo and Marinette as Juliet and Chloé is absolutely FURIOUS about it.
Everyone assumes its because Marinette gets to kiss Adrien. But that isn’t the case.
Marinette is fine with Adrien being Romeo, since she knows its a play and she is into chloé. She has to CONSTANTLY tell Chloé that it doesn’t mean anything.
Adrien being the ally that he is, hatches a plan.
When they get to the kiss scene. Adrien switches out with Chloé. she looks very similar to Adrien (color contacts and all,) Marinette realizes that she is going to be kissing chloé She smiles and puts a bit more oomph into it.
The class says it was an amazing scene.
Adrien hiding behind the scenes smiling as the class cheers. He is happy that chloé gets to hear cheers from her class about her kiss with Marinette.
LOL! Now I'm imaging in Actress Au with Secret Lovers Au that Marinette plays Queen Bee for movie while Chloe plays Ladybug and it's just none stop flirting and puns the whole time during fliming!
That is adorable, but in canon, Chloé sucks as an actress. We know this from Horrificator.
(But, since in this au she has been acting her whole life hiding who she is… this can work)
The director was getting super annoyed, but Adrien, who was playing chat noir told him to keep it in.
The movie was a hit.
The people believed the chemistry of the heroes. it was their favorite part.
