He was softer than she would've thought. That was the first thing that flooded her brain as he tugged her in. Honestly, she'd half expected to bounce her head off solid wood, but his fur (bristles?) was an effective cushion. It was almost enough to shock Maelle out of the gloom n' doom stupor she'd settled into, 'I'm fine' threatening to hang off her lips as she raised hands to begin pushing him away. But it was his next comment that gave her pause, halting her mid-shove... and had her giggling for a moment despite her mind telling her there was nothing to find funny. She let herself slump forward against him.
"Is that right?" She huffed softly, letting her head relax against the gestral's creaking chest. "Mm... Alright. It'll be our secret." A small smile played at her lips, the first she'd managed in quite a while.
“How long have we known each other now? I know you better than you know yourself.” *Flicks nose.*
"Hey," Verso batted away the wooden hand, and shook his head. "That's not hard when you knew both me and the original."
