I do feel that my existence and identity as an ndn is heavily connected to why and how I love speculative biology/evolution, but damn are a lot of spec evo artists weird about us.
#that goes for most sci fi#its just that spec evo takes a bit more passion for the living things themselves#but itd clear most of these artists view the world very differently#which- yeah i get that part#almost everyone does#but! the amount of times they randomly bring up “native americans”#and either treat us as lesser#or have us do the exact same shit europe was doing (just painted as indian)#is exhausting#and i do think its because i still hold a lot of hope and passion for the subject#at least i dont care as much about sci fi#and especially fantasy#but when its spec evo its like “damn yall STILL dont care 80% of the time”#why must we be a token or doll for you to play with?#the thread and cloth you use to make this doll comes from europe and it shows.#notmyart#nala yaps
