I speak a little bit of blackfoot/niitsi'powahsin, basic convo, couple'a questions, and I can identify a lot of birds .

I'm tryin to meet more indigenous ppl online, so if any of yall wanna reach out feel free! (I don't check messages often but I'd still love to talk, n I'm sure that'd get me checkin it more).

I didn't grow up on the blackfeet rez, I got moved around a lot, but spent the most time on Sto:lo land in BC Canada, nowadays I live in the states, though (you may see me very occasionally use Twulushootseed and rarely halq'emeylem, I'm not blood related to these nations, but I have been welcomed to speak the language, even if my current focus is my people's language)

Host in a DID system (yes, bodily mixed indigenous. Im not some token native alter that shit pisses me off). I can't control what my brain did to manage trauma. The disorder has a lot of stigma, but I'm happy to answer questions, and I acknowledge my privilege in being able to label it..

I grew up in Huntsville, Alabama specifically. It's a fairly liberal city. Lots of NASA stuff because a lot of folks are rocket scientists. Relatively safe place to live.

Decatur is a thirty minute drive west if you take the highway (for the Europeans reading this, this is roughly your average commute to work). DeKalb is about an hour and twenty minutes east (this is an easy day trip).

You might be closer to a sundown town than you think. Please please please familiarize yourself with that list. There are MULTIPLE near me and I live in the Northeast now. I know someone who accidently found himself in one because he ran out of gas on a road trip in Pennsylvania. This is not exclusively a southern thing.
