Harry (or James Sirius!) trying to awkwardly come out to Period-Typical Homophobia and Toxic Masculinity Sirius, and Sirius being like "oh, it's just a phase, kiddo, we all go through it, you'll find a girl soon enough" and patting him on the shoulder.
Harry being like, “You—you went through this too?”
And Sirius waving his hand, “Oh yeah, plenty of times.”
“More than once?”
“It’s what kids do—just a bit of fun. It’s like practice, you know? Otherwise, who’s going to tell you what you’re doing wrong? Everyone does that with their best mates. Eventually you can use all the stuff you’ve learned on your girlfriend whenever she comes around.”
And Harry just stares. “Like…all of your best mates?”
Sirius just shrugs and goes back to eating.
