For those who have been asking, I'm getting surgery on my wrist. Around this time last year I had an accident at work that tore my ligament (which I never knew was the main thing that held all the bones together), so I've spent a good 10 months being shuffled from doctors office to specialist wards.. Being on work cover, I was pretty much told that I wasn't a priority. This injury may not seem that bad, but it's impacted my life so much. I'm scared and apprehensive to go in today, but I know it will help me sooo much in the long run and I can finally have my old life back :) Basically, they have to do this surgery in 2 steps. They will cut it open and have a look around and then decide what needs to be done. But basically they will re-form my ligament with mesh and a crap load of pins and hopefully everything will be all better :) my wrist shall look like Frankenstein at the end, but it's all for the greater good!
