So seeing as today is James Potter's Birthday I thought it was a good idea to introduce you to...
The Potter Twins
Born March 27th, 1970 at 2:56 and 3:03am to Euphemia Sahana Potter and Fleamont Henry Potter. (I may have written a oneshot about their birth)
Effie and Monty had an agreement that when she got pregnant that if they were a boy that he would have a Potter name and if they were a girl she would have a Gupta name so when they had both James got a Potter name and Kiran got a Gupta name. James inherited his fathers name as his middle and Kiran got one of Effie's middle names.
James Fleamont and Kiran "Kira" Sahana Potter
They are basically opposites, where James is extroverted and outgoing and the life of the party, Kira is introverted, down to earth and much prefers a quite night with a book or painting (but if you get them drunk James gets very weepy and sappy and confesses everything he's ever done or thought and Kira basically turns into James, very bubbly and the life of the party) she's basically like Jackson Hyde from MH lol and he's more like Heath).
James is more like his Monty and Kiran is more like Effie but whenever they need advice on life or relationships they always go to the opposite. Kira knows she needs to let her heart speak more and Monty always gives her advice from his and James knows he should think more logically at times and so when he thinks its really important he goes to Effie and they do the same when needing to be comforted too.
James is bipolar, and has depression, adhd, anxiety, is an extrovert and a total people pleaser! He will do anything he has to to make someone else smile because he's always said that seeing someone else smile charged him even if the things he had to do to get to that smile was draining. James loves being with people and would rather be with people 24/7 than not at all.
Kira has depression, ocd, audhd, and is an ambivert. She likes being around her people but even after being around them too long has to spend some alone time and prefers living alone because she values her own space and can feel drained by not having truly her own space. Kira would gladly be alone more often than not but does enjoy being with her friends (as long as she can prepare beforehand).
I see them as identical twins so one of them is trans and it doesn't really matter which is because their parents never made them feel different or wrong etc and treated them both equally. James is pansexual and demisexual and uses he/him but if he doesnt dislike he/they either (gnc James my beloved but for this I'm going with) and Kira is bisexual and uses she/her (doesn't mind she/they though).
Kira is a Hufflepuff (but Ravenclaw was a close second). She's roommates with Charity Burbage, Aurora Sinistra, and Hestia Jones (her bestie) and she was friends with Caradoc Dearborn, Benjy Fenwick, Pandora Rosier, Xenophilius Malfoy Lovegood, Juliette Wilkes, Edgar Bones, Dorcas Meadowes, Kingsley Sterling, Edmund Avery Amos Diggory, Barty Crouch Jr, Evan Rosier, Bruce Mulciber, Ted Tonks, Arthur Weasley, Molly Prewett and has a (mostly) one sided rivalry with Amelia Bones. She is also knows the marauders and Remus and Peter are her favorite. Sirius is too much for her but she knew about wolfstar before they did (she tried to tell James in 2nd year but he didn't see it and told her "They're just friends Ki." and in 5th year when they got together as James handed Peter 50 galleons he muttered under his breathe "Kira was right the whole time" but Peter was too excited talking about how he was going to spend all his winnings on jelly beans) and would always just roll her eyes whenever Remus would talk about (yearn for) Sirius and sometimes she'd even laugh and he'd ask her what was funny and she'd say something like "You'll know sooner or later."
James and Kira were childhood friends with Marlene and Peter and they would come over for breakfast all the time and James and Marlene would spend the whole afternoon in the backyard with Effie as she went through quidditch drills with them and Kira and Peter would crochet or paint with Monty.

She was also friends with Severus and Regulus which annoyed James and Sirius which was a plus but not the point of their friendship with them. She met Regulus years ago at a Ministry Gala when they were both seemingly trying to fade into the shadows and she bumped into him and she apologized profusely and he said it was okay and they ended up talking for a little bit and she convinced him to find a more empty room to chat in and they ended up talking for what seemed like an hour until their older brothers walked in and Sirius told Regulus that their mother was going to leave them if they didn't hurry and Regulus said hurried goodbyes and James asked how her night was and she said good and asked the same and he ended up telling her all about his new friend he met, Regulus' older brother. And from then on whenever they went to specific Pureblood functions they would keep an eye out for the Blacks to see if their new friends were around and if they were they would go their separate ways to talk to them or in Sirius and James' case go reek havic. They didn't see each other too often and after Sirius got caught playing with James and Sirius had a busted lip when he returned to the room they stopped seeking them out but always hoped they would meet again.
So when Regulus got to Hogwarts the next year she immediately seemed him out during her free period so they could catch up and he introduced her to Evan Rosier, his twin Pandora and Barty Crouch who she'd met when they were sorted into Ravenclaw together and had dragged with her everywhere since but it seemed like he and Evan were becoming fast friends (she knew about Rosekiller before they did too (unlike with wolfstar she did try to lay it out for them but Barty just laughed her off and Evan agreed but she could tell he was more rigid as he shrugged her off). But they would meet up in their free periods and just talk. They would talk about their older brothers, about their parents, school, quidditch (Regulus would say how he'd be a prodigy and be the best seeker in history as Kiran just nodded along because she wasn't that into quidditch like the rest of her family but wanted to be there for her friend), books, art and just about anything that they could think of.
She and Severus met on the train to Hogwarts when she left her train car to "get dressed" but it was really to get away from James and Sirius who had been recently reunited and had been talking nonstop the whole ride since Sirius coincidentally ran into their train car to escape his cousins. She ran into him and had knocked him over and quickly apologized saying she should pay more attention and he muttered that it was alright but when they met eyes she could tell that there was a shared feeling between the two of them but before she could say anything else he sped off. They met again when she saw him on the way to the same class as him and she asked if he would mind her walking with him and they talked about how their years were going so far, how they liked their houses, their new roommates and Kiran mentioned her friend Charity who immediately caught Severus' attention and Severus mentioned his friend and they planned to meet out in the courtyard one day and have them meet each other.
Her favorite subjects were Care of Magical Creatures (which her and Pandora bonded over), Potions, Astonomy (she and Aurora would spend hours just staring at the stars talking about what they thought they were thinking and sometimes Charity would join them big she usually went to bed earlier than them) and Charms.
James' favorite subjects was "Ways to get Lily Evans and Regulus Black's attention" Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, and Flying but he also loved duelling club too!
I think that's basically it for this post. I've been working on it all month and I'm so excited to see what you all think of Kira! She is my Baby and I really hope you guys (/gn) love her as much as I do!!! I have lots more to say about her/them so if you want more lore/hcs for them please let me know!!!!
