I mistook Jesus for Captain Hook. The Peter Pan fandom has taken over my life. Send help.

Hi! I'm sort of a first time noob-ish cosplayer and while checking out some Borderlands cosplay pics on Google, I happened to spot one of your pictures. You're an amazing Handsome Jack btw (got everything so perfect, its unreal). I was wondering if you had any advice for someone like me who's trying to pull off a complex cosplay (I'm gonna try Moxxi but I'm terrified, her costume looks so hard to make). Also wondering which con has the most Borderlands cosplayers (I wanna be among friends. :))

Hey there! <3Thanks for the compliments! Glad you like my cosplay stuff :)Phew... okay, first advice for pulling off a Borderlands cosplay: Take your time. Just have in mind that every piece of the cosplay will take double the time, cause you not only have to sew or craft it but also to paint it to get the celshading look.You will have more fun while making the cosplay if you just allow yourself plenty of time and don’t panic. ;)Don’t worry about clean sewing or crafting. The paintjob will do the rest and will make up for almost every mistake. ("Whoops I used the wrong coloured sewing cotton.” “Nevermind it’s just Borderlands. Take a permanent marker and paint it over.”)Do plenty of make up tests to get to know the celshading style. Same goes for the painting of the clothes. If you’re not sure if acrylic paint will stay on your fabric, just add some textile colour.For more informations on how I painted my Borderlands cosplays you can look up these posts: Axton, Jack
