‘It’s alright..’
A voice in the back of his head sounded. It was soothing except he couldn’t place who it belonged to. But it wasn’t alright, not now. Sollux was practically useless, his world full of colors and brightness, now blank and black. It wasn’t alright. It couldn’t be. Perhaps it was and his mind simply thought otherwise.
‘It’s alright.’
The words were repeated. Hushed, and barely noticeable now. Quiet, just like the world beside him. The Captor couldn’t distinguish many things any more and that was frustrated him to no end. Luckily he had his matesprit, who tended to make things better. But he doubted he should bother Karkat with this. Those two words that won’t be silent.
“It’s alright,” he murmured, not sure even if Karkat was near or not. Nothing was wrong at the moment, or so he thought. His mood was a bit better now that he uttered those two words. “Isn’t it?” To actually believe it would be a miracle at this point. To resort to his other senses that he wasn’t used to relying on. His eyes were the Cancer, whether the other knew it or not.
