Day two of my OC Per Day Challenge! Today I drew Alois Barreau, who thinks tradition is a load of crap, especially when it comes to the safety of her twin brother, Jean Marc. The two siblings don’t want to live the lives that have been chosen for them, so they decide to switch clothes, names, and paths. It goes about as well as you’d expect it to (aka: not well at all).

Alois is courageous, reckless, and definitely doesn’t think before she leaps. She has a lot of energy and is capable of running around and showing a remarkable display of agility and athletics, but she’s not entirely graceful and often has scrapes and bruises from flailing and falling.  Alois is not necessarily the brightest, but her charisma and amiable personality make up for her shortcomings. She’s very outgoing and fiercely loyal to the people she cares about.

I spent all day drawing headshots of my characters. Whew, adding colour takes a lot out of me. Anyhoo... these are some fairly new-ish characters that I’ve had for a few weeks now.

Their story takes place in a world that has recently acquired magic and because of this, the world has launched into a booming industrial revolution. However, there is a strain in society as two major factions who serve the Queen--the Faceless and the Architects--spark a civil war that could tear the country apart. Esperanza must find a way to end the civil war, hopefully by unifying the Faceless and the Architects... but destroying them both if she must.

I’m gonna update my charahub with info about these characters, but I’ll probably also talk about it here and on my main blog.
