I want shirts and accessories made in the USA

I was thumbing through my Shape magazine this month and earmarking the pages with the “plant lovin’ picks” – highlighting companies that are committed to staying “green.” One of the awesome companies I found was “A Lot To Say.” A Lot To Say was recently named the Most Environmentally Progressive Line of Message Apparel & Lifestyle Products on the Market in the USA! A Lot to Say amazingly manufactures t-shirts and accessories made with 100% recycled plastic bottles and a revolutionary no water dye process.  I encourage you to visit their site to at least read about their unique and sustainable method of manufacturing products, but for purposes of this blog entry, I want to highlight their commitment to manufacturing in the USA.

The company, that was started by two sisters, were looking for a manufacturing plant to fulfill them. They found that the process would be more than 50-60% less expensive if they manufactured outside of the USA, but felt strongly that keeping jobs here in the USA was an “absolute must.” They hoped that consumers would understand that decision could be reflected in the price, but also believed that they would realize every time a consumer purchased a shirt from A Lot To Say, “they were keeping people employed, keeping jobs here in the USA, as well as protesting the conditions of sweatshop labor.” Love them!!! Next time you’re out to buy a shirt, check out A Lot To Say. They also make cards, totes, scarves, bikinis, and pillowcases! After all, they’re made – sustainably (understatement of the week) – by your neighbors!
