Alovera Studio Interview with Stephen Lacey's 20 Minute Longbox

During our last MCM Comic Con, we were interviewed by the charming Stephen Lacey on some in depth dirt on what we have been up to with the series. We are first up on this episode, so make sure to have a listen to get some new info, as well as hearing our voices struggle to compete with the DDR machines that were playing loudly in the background. Thank you to Stephen Lacey for your time, it was a lot of fun and even I am surprised how we could keep up, completely scriptless!

Look what we just got hot from the printers! Heres a sneak peak at our new limited edition risograph zines and screen prints, for this Sunday's DIY Cultures at RichMix, London.

We will be there from 12-7pm selling our new zine - The Purple Pages, as well as our original Alovera Comic for now at £5 each. We will also be selling our bloodlun prints for £1 each and a small handful of our toys at £5 for the event!

Please come and visit as we would love to see everyone again from previous expos, if you would like a certain toy for Sunday, heres the list, some might be sold out, but otherwise just pop me a note or email!

Heres a set of the whole gang made on Icon Generator, I’ve now finished uni for Easter, so Alan and I are catching up on work for the first of the series, due to be finished next year ‘Alovera: The Dawn of Eve’. 

In the mean time, we are going to be selling our zine on April 7th at DIY Cultures in Bethnal Green, London. We also hope to create new merch too, as were booked up for ready for this years May MCM Expo and selling off everything for £5 each. Please come visit us as we would love to see everyone again!

To all my friends and followers alike, thank you so much for being so supportive to me, Alan and our work both in and out of uni, its truly amazing, so here is our christmas card this year to you! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year from Alovera! These are the 20 joys we have felt this month and I am due to watch some christmas specials, so be high and spirits and see you all in the new year!

This year Alan and I managed to create the first of the Alovera Comic, it is the Romance Dawn of One Piece, so to speak. We had given it our all to make an impression as new comers to the crowd of MCM Expo, as well as Thought Bubble and many comic artist and fan alike. This is after all what we have been selling, the Alovera Comic newspaper/ zine, displaying the first chapter of what is to be a fantastic trilogy of a story. Each page we make has been a constant collaboration between Alan & I, each "coloured" using classic halftone dots and stylistically offset. There has only been, and will only ever will be 200 copies of this limited edition risographed zine, we have sold perhaps less than half of these this year, but once their gone, their gone! 

Thanks to all our friends and family who have been so supportive, please hold tight as I finish my degree before we can release the completed first book due October 2013!
