What was lost in the fire...
(A! Michael Kaiser x O! Isagi Yoichi x O! Male Reader)
(Sequel to "What remains after the fire...")
You entered to the place too fast no one even notice you. Your fist hardened and with a single boost from your arm, you threw him a punch.
Michael barely saw it—only felt the impact impacted against his jaw, sharp and merciless. The punch snapped his head back, teeth clacking as he stumbled, boots scraping against the turf.
The practice stopped instantly.
“What the hell—?!”
You didn’t stop there. “You fucking piece of shit!”
You lunged again, rage burning through every muscle, every nerve. Your scent flooded the air—bitter, acidic, nothing like desire. It was pure fury.
Hands grabbed you from behind, trying to stop you.
“Hold him—!
“Get him back!”
Kunigami, Gagamaru, even Bachira moved in, arms locking around your shoulders and torso as you thrashed violently, trying to break free.
“Let me go!” You screamed while your voice was breaking. “Let me go, I swear I’ll...kill him!”
Kaiser didn’t retaliate at all. He stood there, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth, eyes fixed on him. Cold. Sharp. Calculating.
Insults poured out of (Y/N) was like pure venom—every humiliation, every betrayal, every word meant to wound, formed a giant snowball of resentment he prepared to launch at his bloody face
His voice cracked midway, but the hate didn’t stop at all
And then— he stopped. (Y/N) froze like a statue. He slowly turned his head and focus on something else
Yoichi sat a few steps away, posture curved, expression empty, not a single gram of guilt, nor pride. Just honesty stripped of warmth.
Silence fell.
(Y/N)’s breath stuttered. His body went slack in the arms restraining him, strength draining all at once. Tears welled up, hot and furious, spilling before he could stop them.
He hated that Isagi was so inexpressive towards the matter he was mainly involved. Hated that part of him understood.
Suddenly, a small, crooked, "triumphal" smile formed un his face, one that didn’t mean victory at all. But at least, he thought, wasn't the biggest loser.
That honor was awarded to the person who looked at him with such fury.
(Y/N) just tore himself free at last, shoving past everyone. His tears burned, acidic, blurring his vision as he stormed off the field. Doors slammed behind him.
The team stood there, confused, tense—and, one of them, angry.
Raichi was the one who knew everything. Hey was an intimate friend of (Y/N) Like a brother to him. He snapped quickly to protect his "brother".
“The fuck are you standing there for?!” he barked at Kaiser. “Go fix this! You caused all of this!”
Kaiser didn’t answer. He already knew.
He wouldn’t fix anything.
At (Y/N) bedroom...
The door to (Y/N)’s room barely had time to close before Kaiser pushed inside.
“Get out.”
(Y/N) ’s voice was shaking and muffled with a pillow against his face.
“Calm down now” Kaiser said, stepping closer, hands instinctively going to his hips, grounding him “You’re just exaggerating all of th...”
The pillow hit him square in the face.
Once.
Twice.
Again.
And again.
“Don’t you dare to touch me, son of a Bitch!”
(Y/N) kept swinging, hitting him with the pillow until Kaiser lost his balance and went down hard.
In a flash, he grabbed (Y/N)’s wrists, pinning him down as they both hit the floor.
They were shouting now.
Raw. Ugly. Almost in a primitive way. As if they were wild animals or the worst of enemies.
“Stop it! You enjoyed it too!” Kaiser snapped, breath heavy. “Don’t even try to lie to me!"
(Y/N) didn’t respond.
Didn’t open his mouth or even blink. The alpha just laughed
“See? No answer at all, you hypocrite omega?”
He exhaled slowly, tone shifting. Controlled.
“Look. Let’s just call it what it is. An incident. A forgettable and stupid one” he said. “Isagi can leave the team and can deal with the baby on his own. It would be the only thing he would be focus”
Those words made (Y/N)’s chest tighten.
Unfair.
Cruel.
Even now for him, who hated Isagi with every inch of his soul, it felt just.... wrong.
“I don’t care whatever...” Kaiser was interrupted by the omega, who was looking to the floor, hiding his face from him
“From now on, Michael Kaiser, you don’t step into my room without my explicit permission. Do you understand...bastard?”
A single and silent pause formed between them to be cut out by Kaiser laughing, full of ingenuity
“Are you kicking me out?”
“Yes. You’re not my boyfriend anymore. Now, leave.”
Kaiser didn’t reply.
He straightened, shoulders squared, pride settling back into place like armor. Whatever he felt stayed buried behind his silence.
Without another word, he turned and walked out. The door closed and only then did (Y/N) give in.
His breath broke first, then his body followed—knees giving out as tears finally spilled, hot and furious. He pressed a hand to his mouth, trying to stay quiet, but the sob escaped anyway.
Rage and grief twisted together in his chest as he cried alone, surrounded by everything that had just ended.
